ESWL: Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) is the least invasive surgical stone treatment using high frequency sound waves from an external source (outside the body) to break up kidney stones into smaller pieces, and allow them to pass through the urinary tract.
SpaceOAR
Prostate cancer treatment involves delivering a dose of radiation to the prostate that will destroy the tumor cells, but not adversely affect the patient. The newly FDA approved Hydrogel SpaceOAR is a semi-solid natural substance that is used to decrease toxicity from radiation beams to the nearby rectum.
Botox
BOTOX for injection is indicated for the treatment of overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and frequency, in adults who have an inadequate response to or are intolerant of an anticholinergic medication. The majority of patients receiving BOTOX had at least 50% reduction of daily leakage episodes.
Vasectomy & Vasectomy Reversal
Vasectomy is a minor surgical procedure to cut and close off the tubes (vas deferens) that deliver sperm from the testes; it is usually performed as a means of contraception. The procedure typically takes from 15–30 minutes and usually causes few complications and no change in sexual function. Vasectomy reversals utilize an operating microscope and ultrafine sutures to reattach the inside and outside of the vas deferens.
DA VINCI Robotic Surgery
Robtic surgery allows for smaller incisions associated with traditional laparoscopic surgery, but with improved visualization and range of motion. We are affiliated with Riverview Medical Center that has the da Vinci surgical system. This sytem was introduced more than ten years ago and has been cleared by the FDA for a wide range of procedures.
